CloverEats: Jolly Pumpkin in Ann Arbor
I’ve never been much of a beer person, so I may be missing a big part of Jolly Pumpkin’s appeal. However, the service was prompt and the food was pretty tasty, although a bit on the oily side. They’ve taken some creative liberties with traditional pub fare, but nothing really blew the meal out of the water. I did enjoy the thin, flavorful pickle that came with our meal.
Check them out at their official website or Yelp.
I luv luv luv their beer, but funky Belgian style beers are an acquired taste. If u like them, they’ve won all kinds of awards and beat out actual Belgian beers in competition. If u go back, definitely get the truffle fries!

Will do re: the truffle fries! Do you have a JP beer recommendation for someone who’s still a beer newbie?

Under the Jolly Pumpkin name, Calabaza Blanca is probably the most accessible. Pretty sure they have North Peak beers there and those are pretty mainstream. JP brews those. Best o luck!
