CloverChows: fish and chips at Monahan’s Seafood Market!
Let me start off by admitting that I dislike fish. In fact, besides sushi, I hate fish. So admittedly, I was skeptical to try Monahan’s Seafood Market, despite the rave Yelp reviews. However, now having gone, it’s like a whole new world has opened up to me. How is it that a little joint tucked away in Kerrytown is able to provide such fresh goods? There’s an interesting mix of disposable and classy, and I love the colorful decorations. Despite the huge lunch rush, the service was quick and friendly. The fish and chips were absolutely delicious, and I love the taste of malt vinegar. The fish was cooked perfectly, and their sauce was somehow tastier than normal sauce. Actually, even their lemons seemed juicier than normal lemons. I’ll definitely be back!
Check them out on Yelp or at their official website!
It’s a great place! A lil pricy, but quality is so good.
