Atelier Florian | New Haven
Living just minutes from the ocean, I have tried to make an effort to incorporate more seafood into my dining. I may have outgrown the dislike of fish inherent to most childhood palates, but I still find myself gravitating towards land meats, sushi being the one exception. I pushed my boundaries by ordering the raved-about bouillabaisse at Atelier Florian, a lovely space on Chapel with a European atmosphere and bonus dollar oysters during happy hour (4-6:30PM). While objectively wonderful, I found myself still preferring the delightful Florian Sushi with soy caramel and wasabi aioli and warm sushi rice. Cocktail “verbs and a fraise” put a smile on my face.
