CloverEats: the newly opened Menna’s Joint
Menna’s Joint recently added a new restaurant to their chain, opening up on William St, just off of State St. “Home of the Dub,” they proudly proclaim, ‘dub’ being what their grilled wraps are called. Having a secret love for late-night take-out, we decided to try them out!
We accidentally drove by the restaurant at first, missing its green sign and heading down William before turning around and eventually finding it next to NYPD. The interior really echoes of an undergraduate’s walls, covered in posters of old movies, vintage signs, and comic book heroes. The seating is a little limited; there’s more of a take-out feel.
The Buffalo Dub that I got came with two chicken tenders, mozzarella, hot sauce, bleu cheese, and lettuce. It was quite delicious, the melted cheese and the buffalo sauce mixing together to create a mouthwatering combination. It wasn’t the most sophisticated dish I’ve ever had, but it was certainly filling and satisfied my craving for unhealthy, fatty food. I could see myself getting a late night delivery from them – they’re open until 3 AM!
Check them out on Yelp or at their website!
In other news, I’m really excited by all the activity on Liberty St – HopCat is coming soon, and the new Sweetwaters looks fantastic!
