CloverDrinks: La Colombe in West Loop

LaColombe-7One of the first things you notice when you walk into La Colombe is the smooth, delicious smell of coffee. The space is light, full of beautiful polished wood, and very welcoming. There isn’t a menu, but the barista was very helpful in suggesting drinks for us and describing different drink components. Our friends brought us here on NYE, and the delicious coffee definitely helped me make it to the countdown and three different parties before falling asleep!

My hemp milk latte (they didn’t have soy, unfortunately) was delightfully smooth. I felt nourished and relaxed by it, and I absolutely loved the cups and saucer colors and designs.

There weren’t many pastries left when we arrived, but this little cake was fantastic. It had great, springy texture and was just a little bit sweet.

I really liked this water spout, which offers water at room temperature in addition to the usual cold water and sparkling water.

A great place to grab coffee.  There isn’t any wifi, but the atmosphere and coffee are fantastic!  Check them out at Yelp or at their website!
