Chestnut Street Philly Bagels | Philly
I made the mistake of coming to Chestnut St Bagels without having pre-ordered online. It was a Sunday morning and the store was packed, with a line going out the door and more than a dozen people waiting on their orders. They had the famous tie-dye bagels but I chose to forgo this sweet treat in favor of a Daniel Burke – lox, horseradish cheddar cream cheese, tomato, and bacon. I also got a sundried tomato with garlic and herb cream cheese, which was the best bagel and the best cream cheese I’ve ever had. Certainly worth the 30 minute wait on a leisurely morning but I could see other customers growing inpatient. Would recommend coming at off-peak hours, pre-ordering through Yelp, and getting the garlic/herb cream cheese. Delicious! (Yelp; website)
