Special Guest Feature: Claudia Eats: Georgina’s in Traverse City
A Michigan citizen for much of her life thus far, special guest feature Claudia is an astute foodie, paying attention to details and enjoying food from all around. She truly appreciates a meal well done and has introduced us to a wide range of Michigan goodies, and so it is only fitting that she provide the review for this wonderful gem we ran into during one of our last weeks in Michigan. Now she lives in LA, where she continues to make the mouths of all her Facebook followers water with pictures of her gourmet adventures.
As a long time Michigander, but not a frequent traveler up north, I was pleasantly surprised when my friends and I found Georgina’s in Traverse City on an off-season weekend trip to the tip of the mitten. (more…)
Snapshot: delivery from Mezes Greek Grill
Lamb and beef gyro with greek spicy yogurt sauce
We’ve been busy with packing lately, and it’s getting harder and harder to eat at home because we keep packing our kitchen things. We found Mezes Greek Grill on Grubhub, where it got rave reviews, and decided to try it out. Delivery came much faster than the originally estimated one hour, it took only about 30 minutes, which was great for hungry movers such as ourselves. (more…)
Snapshot: Curry on Crust in Canton, MI
Mango Chicken Pizza – Makhni sauce, cheese, tikka chicken, onion, mango, green pepper.
We went to SkyZone, the giant indoor trampoline park in Canton, and bounced our hearts out. It was tons of fun, even though the teenagers always kick our butts in dodgeball. We had a great workout (clocked in an average heartrate of 130 bpm) and were starving afterwards. There’s a little strip mall on the corner of Ford Rd. and N. Canton Center Rd. that luckily houses some delicious little finds. First, we hit up the adorably named Curry on Crust! (more…)
CloverDrinks: Sweetology in Ann Arbor
Sweetology is where Momo Tea used to be, and looks a lot plainer and more empty. The attendant was polite but had a very clearly bored expression, which I could understand given how empty the cafe was.

CloverEats: Ann Arbor’s new Ruth’s Chris Steak House
I had seen the renovations going on on Fourth for some time, but it wasn’t until last week that I actually saw Ruth’s Chris was now open! Of course we had to stop by. We had just gone to Chop House for their birthday deal, and had a great meal, and so steak was on our minds. I know there are many locations of Ruth’s Chris Steak Houses, but this was the first one I have gone to. The call I got to confirm my reservation was rather rude, so I didn’t have the greatest expectations. Fortunately, the rest of the evening was quite pleasant. (more…)

We stopped by Iron Chef while staying in Orange. It got amazing reviews on Yelp, and we were pretty hungry and just looking for the closest place to grab a bite. We were in for a really nice surprise! (more…)
Macheko Grill in Ypsilanti
Kevin told me about Macheko Grill, a pretty new Korean restaurant out in Ypsi. It was late at night, but I logged onto their website and checked them out. Everything looked delicious. I immediately knew I had to try them out. Looking at their photos made me so hungry I ate another dinner even though I already brushed my teeth. When I finally got a chance to visit, they did not disappoint! (more…)
Melange in Ann Arbor
When I first moved to Ann Arbor, there were some great Restaurant.com deals that we bought for Melange. I remembered liking the River Rock, a hot rock that you can sizzle pieces of steak on, as well as some of their cocktails. We recently went back for the first time in three years. (more…)
Cafe Sante in Boyne City
We stayed up in Boyne City when we went up the mitten, but unfortunately it was still pretty cold. The lake was frozen, but that didn’t stop us from going to the beach and exploring new restaurants! Nancy found Cafe Sante and so we decided to try them out. (more…)

We stopped by the beach in Petoskey, but it was a little early in the season because the lake was still frozen. Afterwards, we were all hungry, and so drove into town where we found the just-opened Bob-In Again. (more…)
